Hey,
Hope you're having a great week so far.
Thanks for taking the time to read the "Hump Day Update!"
A couple of weeks ago I told you about a free Facebook webinar I
attended that was held by Robert Plank and Lance Tamashiro (you
should have also received a follow up email from me with the
webinar replay link in it).
On the free webinar, Lance showed how he was using a "plain Jane"
Facebook page to get tens of thousands of "likes" and comments (and
making money as a result).
The offer at the end of the webinar was for a new course created by
Lance and Robert where they show you all the details of exactly how
they are able to easily create Facebook pages (without any of that
iframe and Facebook App nonsense) and how they very quickly attract
hundreds (even thousands) of people to "Like," interact and buy
stuff from them.
Well, one smart lady signed up for the course and made her very
first sale within the first week of implementing what she learned.
What's truly amazing is that it really was her very first sale from
her online marketing efforts, something she's been trying to do
for 2 years!
Talk about exciting!
Click the link below to read the email she sent to Lance:

Unfortunately, the webinar replay has been removed and the "live"
portion of the course has already happened BUT you can still get
access to the recordings, transcripts, support community, etc.,
altho' I'm not sure how much longer they will keep this offer open.
And, I'm not sure if or when Lance and Robert will offer this
course again, but if they do I suspect the price will be at least
double because that's how they've priced repeats of their courses
in the past (it's only $47 right now).
Here's the link where you can find out what's covered and, at the
moment, you can still sign up for lifetime access to the course
materials and support community:

Like I said, I'm not sure how much longer they will be allowing
people to get in on this, so, if you've been on the fence, act
quickly to get in now!

TRADEBIT NEWS
--------------------------
There were no new posts on the TradeBit blog this week, but Ralf
did post in the forum that merchants can now use AlertPay as an
alternative payout method.
Click the link below to find out how to switch your payout method
to AlertPay:

Among the many new things I plan to cover in more detail in the
upcoming Unleash The Power Of TradeBit course update are methods
for getting more exposure for the products you have listed for sale
in the TradeBit marketplace.
One of those methods is using the free TradeBit WordPress plugin,
which I mentioned in the Hump Day Update a while back.
But what if you don't use WordPress?
What if your websites are HTML based such as sites built using
XSitePro or Dreamweaver?
What if you want to have a "Products" page on your site where you
list all of the products you have for sale on TradeBit?
Is there a way for TradeBit merchants to easily include and display
their TradeBit products on their non-WordPress websites?
Yes, there is!
One way is to use the widget codes to list individual products on
pages of your website, regardless of whether it's a HTML or
WordPress site.
And, there is a way you can integrate your TradeBit products into
an iFrame or even a pop-up window on your site using a small
snippet of code, but this is kind of a "hidden" feature.
You can read more about it and get the code you need by clicking
the link below:

SMALL DECISIONS, BIG IMPACT
------------------------------------------------
About 11 years ago, I was visiting a good friend during the
Christmas holidays and she excitedly showed me this cool website on
the internet where you could buy almost anything you wanted.
She said the products that were offered for sale were from regular
people "Just like you and me!"
That website was Ebay.
I thought it was pretty cool, but didn't give it too much thought
at the time.
Fast forward about 6 months and the small marketing firm I worked
for was having a bit of financial trouble. They asked that each
employee take 2 weeks off without pay sometime before the end of
the year.
As a single mother living paycheck to paycheck, giving up 2 weeks
salary made paying the bills very difficult, so I decided to have a
yard sale to make some extra money.
I hate having yard sales!
It's humiliating...you put your personal belongings out on the
front lawn and your neighbors and total strangers come by and pick
through your stuff, offering you a dollar for this and 50 cents for
that.
And then there's the stuff that no one wants or even looks at, so
you have to drag it back into the house or load it up in your car
to take it to the Goodwill store. UGH!
But then I remembered Ebay!
So, I looked through the stuff that was left over from my yard
sale, picked out some items that looked like they would be easy to
ship, took some pictures of it and listed it for sale on Ebay, not
really expecting much in the way of results.
Well, to my surprise, everything I listed for sale, SOLD! And for a
lot more money than anyone would have paid me at a yard sale.
I was hooked!
Every weekend, I would excitedly spend hours taking pictures of
stuff from around the house that I didn't need anymore and list it
for sale on Ebay.
At first, it scared my daughter a little (she was around 14 at the
time), she told me that her room was off-limits, but once she saw
the money I was making, she started selling some of her stuff on
Ebay, too.
In a short time, I was able to figure out what type of items sold
the best, and were the easiest to ship. Plus, I was making enough
extra money to be able to reinvest in new stock and take my Ebay
business to a higher level.
By the next Christmas, I was consistently making a couple hundred
dollars per week in profit and a few short years later was making
enough to leave my job and work from home full-time.
Who would have ever thought the small decision to try selling yard
sale leftovers on Ebay would lead to the lifestyle and freedom I
enjoy today?
I was inspired to write this brief article about how I got started
in IM by my friend Dennis Becker of Earn 1k A Day, who wrote a
thought-provoking blog post about how several tiny decisions he
made led him to the online success he enjoys today.
