Digital Media Intern Sought (Falls Church, VA)

MHz Networks seeks a Digital Media Intern for Summer 2012, with the possibility of continuing the internship in the Fall semester. This internship will primarily involve editing & publishing. Intern will learn how to transcode video into MPEG-4, upload video into our content management system, add/edit relevant and SEO-friendly metadata, and publish content daily to our various digital media platforms to include our website, our mobile applications (iOS and Android) and our connected TV's.

Skills required of intern:

Ideal academic majors are: Computer Science, Information Systems and/or Graphic Design. Intern should be tech-savvy and have familiarity with digital media platforms such as web, mobile and connected TV's. Intern should be familiar with social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, etc. Intern does not need full video transcoding/editing/publishing skillset (training will be provided), but a positive, humble attitude to learn and suggest improvements to existing operational processes is welcome. It would be a big plus if the selected intern is familiar with online video management systems such as Brightcove. It would also be highly desirable if the intern has graphic design experience (photoshop, illustrator, etc.)
