RE: keywords + software = top Google rankings!
There's been a lot of buzz going
around about creating software,
iPhone and iPad apps with the
recent release of The Software
System.
I've included a number of extended
articles about software creation,
but more on that in a minute.
So I bet you're wondering how
exactly do keywords and software
belong anywhere in the same
universe as it relates to Google
rankings? Well...
I'll tell ya -- and most folks
NEVER take advantage of this.

Keyword Research First
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Okay -- so you do keyword research
and find the keywords you need to
target.
You hone in on a long tail keyword
phrase that has multiple words in
it so you can rank for a
combination of terms within that
keyword phrase.
I prefer 5 to 6 word combinations
that include my main keyword and
secondary keyword within that
phrase -- and I usually end up
finding these keywords in the
WordTracker database.
I do NOT use Google's database or
keyword tool for this because they
don't show long tail, LOW TRAFFIC
terms as their keyword tool is more
geared towards Adwords Advertisers.

The Keyword Software Connection

So how does software come into
play?
Most online business owners may
think:
"I just want to build my content
and monetize my traffic with
affiliate offers or sell my product
or service, and I don't need any
software to run my content site nor
do I want to build any software."
And that's totally fair.
However, the software can be as
easy as a Conduit.com Toolbar, or a
screensaver that contains pictures
relating to your website content or
even an .exe report, white paper or
ebook that is packed within an
executable file.
Great -- so what do you do with
that software you create?
Just as there are web directories
to submit your website URL to --
there are also software directories
that allow you to submit your
shareware to their directory and
you get a backlink to your site.
So you use something like Robosoft
to automate submitting your neat
LapTop Computer screensaver to a
number of software directories that
give you a chance to hyperlink your
fave keyword back to your site.
And as we know -- backlinks to your
site with a keyword phrase in the
anchor text equals a top Google
ranking.
Software directories and this whole
standard process of submitting
shareware and trial version
software has been around since
1999.
I'm sure you've probably even down-
loaded trial software from a place
like CNET or any other software
download site.
Having software available to your
site visitors also allows you to
engage with them even more and have
something to remember you by.
Thus, allowing you to make your
site a little more "sticky."
