Something kinda cool happened this week with my Twisted Artistry
Jewelry biz.
If you've been following along as I've written about the new
handcrafted jewelry business I started earlier this year, then you
know that my jewelry is listed for sale on both Ebay and
ArtFire.com.
Art Fire is a combination e-commerce and social marketing site and
one of the "social" aspects is the ability for members to create
and share "collections" of items that are for sale on the site.
Now, let me just say that it's not cool to create a collection
filled with your own products, not cool at all.
But it is cool when someone else features one or more of your
products in their collection.
And, that's exactly what happened to me this week...someone I don't
even know featured a pair of my earrings in a collection they
created!
As a result, I noticed a jump in visitors to my Art Fire Studio, no
sales unfortunately, but definitely more eyeballs looking at my
jewelry.

TRADEBIT NEWS

Nothing new to report about TradeBit this week because Ralf and
Martin are "on holiday."
I did, however, receive a question about the TradeBit affiliate
program from a couple of readers in response to "The Easiest Way To
Increase Sales" article from a couple of weeks ago.

Anyway, they wanted to know if TradeBit took care of sending out
tax forms to affiliates like ClickBank does (i.e., 1099MISC in the
US and whatever income statements are required by other countries).
I assume they do since TradeBit handles all the transactions and
payouts and is incorporated in the US and Europe, but it's never a
good idea to "assume" anything, so I've emailed Ralf to make sure
and am awaiting his reply.
I'll let you all know the answer as soon as I hear back from him.
